Well, the company is working on an OTA software update that should push this fix to all the Galaxy Note 7 sold so far.
According to USA media, all major networks across the pond are now stocking the device again. Samsung will ship 500,000 new Galaxy Note 7 handsets to begin the initial exchange process. AT&T stated that the exchanges are made for those who purchased the Note 7 before September 15. In a video message, Baxter has confirmed that the company replaced 130,000 Galaxy Note 7 in the U.S.
Verizon has announced preorders for new models of the Galaxy Note 7 are now available. Through this software update, you will receive a notification from Samsung advising you to power down your device and avoid charging it.
Samsung did not answer e-mails seeking comment. Consumers may also turn in their old phone and get a full refund.
So how do you tell the new Note 7's from the recalled ones? Samsung also announces that the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 devices will only be available in most stores until September 21 and that users may ask for a different device or a refund instead.
Samsung stopped selling the Note 7 earlier this month due to a battery cell issue after reports of devices catching fire.
