A Spanish police source on Tuesday declined to name the two players but confirmed that Eldense's Italian coach Filippo Di Pierro and managing director Nobile Capuani had been arrested.
Club president David Aguilar also corroborated the story, saying a player's agent told him the match had been fixed.
The Spanish FA are also understood to be monitoring the process. In response to this fact, the club's board announced that the team would be ending all sporting activity for the rest of the season, and that they were breaking ties with an Italian investment company that had bought the struggling club earlier in the season.
Even a player from Eldense said there was match-fixing.
"Half an hour prior to the match I was on the starting team, but right before the game some of us were told we wouldn't be starting", Saad claimed. "I don't care what happens, but when I can, I will give the names of these players".
Both are under suspicion of private corruption after allegedly manipulating the record-breaking result of Saturday's game against FC Barcelona B to obtain a financial benefit through betting.
Before the allegedly fixed game, the club would have had to win all remaining six matches of the season and score a large number of goals to avoid relegation.
