Cubs to raise World Series banner Monday night

Strike! Jon Lester and the 2016 World Series Champion Chicago Cubs will be hosting National League rivals Los Angeles Dodgers at Wrigley Field on April. 10th at 8pm EST. Once the festivities are finished, the Cubs will send Jon Lester to the mound against the Los Angeles Dodgers, who lost to Chicago in the NL Championship Series a year ago.

On Nov. 2, Chicago defeated the Cleveland Indians 8-7 to win the 2016 World Series in seven games.

The team will have its ring ceremony on Wednesday.

The recurring gold theme seems to be ever plenty at Wrigley Field for the series home opener. The bullpens, formerly located down the first-base and third-base lines, were moved beneath the bleachers during the offseason.

It's been four years since the Ricketts family, which bought the Cubs and Wrigley Field in 2009, pitched the idea of a town square-esque plaza on the west edge of the ballpark. It is joined by a new multi-story building featuring administrative offices, a flagship merchandise store, a Starbucks Reserve, and an upcoming "tavern-style" restaurant.

Jamal Adams runs much faster at LSU's pro day
After what we saw from Ezekiel Elliott past year in Dallas, it wouldn't surprise me to see a team make a move up for Fournette. In three seasons at LSU, Fournette rushed over 100 yards 19 times and amassed 3,830 yards and 40 touchdowns in just 32 games.
