Griffin faced immediate backlash after the photos were released Tuesday. She added that she is taking the image down from her social media accounts and will be asking the photographer to do the same.
Griffin, after first defending her decision to partake in the photo shoot, saying she was "merely mocking the Mocker in Chief" in a tweet that has since been deleted, last night issued a video apology, begging forgiveness and admitting she went too far.
Griffin, who helped with CNN's New Year's Eve coverage, has apologized, saying that the brief video was "too disturbing" and wasn't amusing. "I understand how it offends people, it wasn't amusing, I get it".
