Just a normal day at a NY juice store turned into the experience of a lifetime for one employee who got to serve Kiwi pop star Lorde a smoothie after she walked in off the street. Lorde DMed her on Twitter, asking if she'd like to come to Governors Ball.

Talk about a good tip!

Meanwhile, Lorde has also teased the release of a new song from her forthcoming album Melodrama.

Emely Paula Medina originally posted a video of her serving Lorde, saying she was "shook" to be in her presence.

Emely Paula Medina, an employee at NY smoothie store Liquiteria, said Lorde was the "first famous person" she had served a smoothie to and declared herself "shook" in a video posted to her Twitter feed with the caption "She made my morning".

Emely says she wasn't expecting to hear back from Lorde after meeting her in her store and thought she was joking when she messaged her back later on Twitter to ask her to watch her performance. "I'm crying rn! This is insane".

But later, she posted a screenshot of her Twitter direct message conversation with the pop star, in which Lorde admits she was too shy to properly talk to her.

Lorde is performing second at the Governors Ball bill on Friday just before headliner Chance The Rapper.
