By the time demand finally began to settle, Nintendo abruptly announced it was discontinued, to the chagrin of many. However, one of the biggest areas of criticism about the device was the length of its controller cords.
NES, one of the greatest video game systems, is making a comeback through the Super NES Classic Edition.
Included with the Super NES Classic Edition are one HDMI cable, one USB charging cable with AC adapter and two wired Super NES Classic Controllers. It is also compatible with the Classic Controller and Classic Controller Pro accessories. SNES Classic is probably not going to be on sale for long.
Nintendo yesterday confirmed that a SNES version of its Nintendo Classic Mini console will be arriving this autumn on September 29th. The buzz is that there will be pre-orders available at the Nintendo website just as they did with the Nintendo Switch. The NES Classic Edition had a limited production run and it looks like the SNES Classic Edition will be in a similar position. Likewise numerous included titles, such as Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Final Fantasy III (VI), and Super Metroid are considered some of the greatest games of all time.
SNES Classic is real: Star Fox 2 playable for first time
Along with the classic titles, the Japanese gaming company will also bundle in a game from the original SNES era that was never released - Star Fox 2. And they made it a true bonus game: The only way to unlock the new game is through playing (and hopefully beating) the original StarFox game. It's the same console, just with some different visual flair. It was more to do with the fact that it was nearly impossible to get your hands on a unit despite Nintendo's best efforts, leading to massively hiked up prices on third-party websites such as eBay. You might not have to buy extenders (or sit right in front of your TV) to indulge your nostalgic side.
Last year, Nintendo announced the NES Classic, a miniature version of the original Nintendo Entertainment System with 30 games built-in.
In other words, you better act quick if you want this thing!
