Over the last couple of weeks, the media has berated the White House for refusing to televise press briefings.
Several times this month, the White House barred television cameras and other audio and visual recordings from the daily press briefings, something that has drawn the ire of several journalists, news outlets, and press organizations, including CNN's Jim Acosta and the White House Correspondents' Association.
Common Cause said the White House has had only five on-camera briefings so far in June, with the rest off camera and with delayed audio. "Look at the number of questions that get asked over and over again just so a reporter can get a clip of themselves saying something or yelling at someone". On CNN, the reporter has accused the President Donald Trump's staff of eroding important traditions. As a sign that he was unable to control his own message - after having fired FBI Director James Comey, President Trump was questioned by Lester Holt of NBC News about the firing, where the President showed he was out of step with the message his aides were trying to convey to the media, saying that Russian Federation was on his mind when he fired him and taking full credit for doing so.
Mr Acosta's trouble's with the Trump administration began early, even before inauguration day. There was reason to believe that with so much controversy and scandal flowing out of the White House, that his was not an empty threat.
After CNN retracted a Russian Federation report and three staffers resigned, both President Trump and Sarah Huckabee Sanders went off on the network and decried the "fake news" coming from the press. "This is the White House's way of showing the press corps who is in charge". It's only more recently that they'd become must-see TV. "But O'Keefe's brand of journalism has repeatedly been called into question - both for his methods and the way his videos are edited".

And yet they came up short, as they have in every special election this year involving a Republican congressional seat. Mulvaney beat his last Democratic opponent by 20 points, The Herald reported Tuesday.
