MI defeated Florida in its opener to rise in the rankings.
The 2017 college football season came with a bang. MI also moved into the Top 10 from No. 11 after beating Florida, which fell from No. 17 to No. 22 after that loss. X MI 33-17. The Gators did not score an offensive touchdown in the game.
Florida State plummeted seven spots to No. 10 in The Associated Press college football poll after dropping its opener to Alabama and losing quarterback Deondre Francois to a season-ending knee injury.
Our very own Don Drysdale accurately predicted (or spitballed) the Wolverines to be slotted at No. 8 in his projections, but did not fare as well with some other teams.
MI is one of four Big Ten schools ranked in each poll.
