Ms Brekke dashed into the store only to discover she'd just missed out.
"My father's on oxygen, and I'm anxious about this storm", Brekke told WFTV through tears, adding that she has spent days trying to buy a generator. "He's a stranger. He's an angel from God is what he is", said Brekke.

It's a gesture Brekke won't soon forget as neighbor help each other at a crucial time.
However after Alvarez spoke with the managers at the Lowe's store, they made a plan and she and Santiago later returned to the store where she presented him with his own generator - for free.
