The fast food chain, which already has 6,000 locations across the US, is planning to open 350 new locations in urban areas around the country, a lot of them serving alcohol, according to Food & Wine. The new-and-improved "urban in-line" or "cantina-style" stores to come will be created to express the local vibes with artwork, open kitchens, and digital menu boards.
These "in-line" destinations will serve beer, wine, sangria and Twisted Freezes (meaning slushies with tequila, rum or vodka). Yum Brands, Inc., which operates Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut, reports earnings, Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017.
But forget about ordering from your auto - the new locations will not have drive-thrus.

The high-performance battery can be charged to 80 per cent of its energy capacity in 30 minutes using a fast-charging system. Achieving that will require a huge number of batteries.
Another interesting point: According to Food & Wine, the chain's drive-thrus make up around 55 to 70 percent of its revenue.
It is unclear if New Jersey - which has around 130 Taco Bell locations - will get one of these new spots.
The company will build new "Cantina style" locations throughout the country where alcohol will be offered. This differs from its current restaurants, which feature drive-thrus that bring in a majority of its revenue, Food & Wine notes.
