Ms. Sivan recalled the alleged encounter after The New York Times published a bombshell report Thursday revealing that Mr. Weinstein, the head of The Weinstein Company and Miramax film studios, reached at least eight settlements with women dating back almost three decades in response to similar previously unpublicized allegations of sexual harassment and other misconduct, including several leading actresses. The agreement was for her to provide a revised edition of her 2011 Knowing Your Value book - also published through Weinstein - and provide two other works, one tentatively titled Comeback Careers. Since more than 10 minutes had passed, Sivan's friend says she went to look for them, but was initially stopped by a security guard. Now, a former reporter for News 12 says that Weinstein essentially trapped her in a deserted NYC restaurant and masturbated in front of her. Although she and Sivan left immediately afterwards and Sivan told her what had happened as soon as they were outside, Sivan says that she has remained quiet about the incident for the last ten years for fear of repercussions. However, she rejected his advances to which Weinstein said to her: "Well, can you just stand there and shut up". Sivan tweeted the interview on Friday, saying that she was lucky enough to not need a job or favor from Weinstein at the time of the incident.

Once Sivan and Weinstein were downstairs they chatted and he showed her the cafe. Sivan noted to HuffPost that Weinstein's auto was "stocked full of cases of Diet Coke", which she said she found to be odd.

Sivan told Huffington Post journalist Yashar Ali that Weinstein trapped her in a restaurant hallway and forced her to watch him masturbate until he ejaculated into a pot plant.

"As Harvey has said, it is important for him to get professional help for the problems he has acknowledged". Weinstein has accused the TImes of "reckless reporting" but attorney Lisa Bloom, who has been advising Weinstein, confirmed that his behavior was sexual harassment. "I'm not defending him in any sexual harassment cases - there aren't any sexual harassment cases".

Bob Weinstein denied the accusation, but now he, along with Weinstein Company COO David Glasser, will be running the company while Harvey Weinstein is on "indefinite leave".
