On Thursday, the Daily Mail reported that Harry and Meghan Markle arrived to the Palace in a Ford Galaxy with blacked-out windows last week. "In part it was to settle any nerves Meghan might have felt but also to ensure it was not widely publicized within the palace".

Despite having been together just 18 months and only publicly addressing their relationship in September, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are sending fans wild with their "imminent" engagement.

Meghan, who apparently quit her role in USA drama Suits recently to spend more time with Harry, has regularly visited Kensington Palace in west London.

Per the report's columnist Richard Kay, upon their arrival, Meghan and Harry were "whisked up to the Queen's private sitting room" for an hour visit.

It's thought that this isn't the first time Markle has met the Queen: according to reports, they first met over the English summer at Balmoral.

Her character Rachel Zane has become a fan favourite.

Before adding: "The Queen spent nearly an hour with her grandson and the Los Angeles-born Meghan".

"Nowadays, we may not be not putting on our white gloves, heavy corsets to sip some tea at 4 p.m., but the tradition (with some minor modern improvements) still remains very relevant - especially when the late afternoon lethargy sinks in", she wrote.

Last month, Harry and Meghan made their public debut as a couple at the Invictus Games in Toronto, where they held hands at a wheelchair tennis event.

Meghan recently opened up about the relationship during an interview with Vanity Fair magazine, in which she gushed about her love for her prince.

The Queen then invited the happy couple to her BBQ the following day where a Royal source told us they got on "well".

"Nothing about me changed". "We're in love. I'm sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time".
