Not only is she still churning out hit albums and performing around the world, but she's now a married mom of two. So when Clarkson appeared on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke segment on Wednesday night, the late night host arranged a little surprise for the couple.

The segment started with just Clarkson and Corden.

"I thought maybe we could arrange a date night for you and Brandon right now, so you get in the back of the vehicle, just wait right there", the late-night host said, as he brought in a dining table with a rose and a candle, and Blackstock joined her in the backseat. "It's hard", she admitted. It all proved to be a bit much for Blackstock, who quipped, "I feel like we're making a porn".

"Just pretend I'm not here", Corden whispered as he poured two glasses of champagne and was joined in the passenger seat by a violinst. Clarkson found it hilarious, but Corden scolded him, saying, "That is not the romantic thing to say right now!" "Okay, it's a date night".

For the latest instalment of the "Late Late Show's popular segment, the "American Idol" victor belted out the lyrics to her famous songs including "Since You've Been Gone", "Loft So Soft", "Stronger", "Because of You" and 'Whole Lotta Woman" while riding next to host James Corden.

Clarkson is the latest celebrity guest to join the Late Late Show host on his viral singing series, with her episode airing in the United States last night (November 29). All in all, we'd call it a successful date!
