Reports suggest that the Toffees are going to bring in Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun, with Sandro Ramirez making way for him, after failing to impress having arrived at Merseyside in the summer.
In 96 appearances for Besiktas since the start of 2014/15 Tosun has scored 41 goals, more than any other player in the division in that period and has been described by Allardyce as "strong mentally with a good pedigree".
The 26-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year deal, and becomes the first signing to be made under current manager Sam Allardyce.
"It feels great to be an Everton player", Tosun told evertontv.
"The Premier League is a strong league, I know that, so my own physical strength will help me". The Turkey global then made the switch to Besiktas ahead of the 2014-15 campaign. They can help me score goals.

China's first large amphibious aircraft AG600 makes maiden flight
It took around eight years for State-owned Aviation Industry Corp of China (AVIC) [SASADY.UL] to develop the aircraft. The seaplane's service will greatly improve China's capability to conduct maritime search and rescue, he said.
"I'm really excited to work with my new team mates because Everton has really, really big names, big players".
"They are professional enough today to know what the size of the game is and make sure they try to deliver the best on Friday night".
Former England global Danny Murphy expects Sam Allardyce to make further additions to his Everton squad in this month's transfer window. "He said he really wanted me here and to feel that, of course, is another big reason to come to Everton".
Tosun was born and raised in Germany and played for their youth global teams but chose to switch to Turkey and has 25 appearances for their senior side, including at Euro 2016.
He has given a number of younger players a chance ahead of the Netherlands global too, so if a bid comes in for the 24-year-old, the Toffees may look to recoup as much of the £23.6 million as they can and admit he was a signing that failed. "I do not think you can look any more than we have done and, for the price, he is the best in Europe at the moment", the Englishman said. He has got some good movement, he's two-footed, he's not the biggest but he's efficient in the air in the box.
