The update renames Windows Defender to Windows Security, brings several improvements to Game bar, enables Windows 10 S users to go password-less, and brings several other changes and updates to the upcoming Windows 10 version.
It's been quite the year for Microsoft as it focuses on Windows Mixed Reality, new Surface laptops, and improving Cortana to compete against rivals such as Amazon's Alexa, Apple's Siri, and Google's Assistant. That includes going through the out-of-box experience and accessing all your favorite apps and services, Microsoft explained.
Progressive Web Apps will be supported in Windows 10 and across all major browsers, and will offer a simpler way of developing cross-platform apps that work very similarly to native software.
At last year's Build conference, Microsoft introduced a bunch of new features like Fall Creators Update, Windows 10 Timeline, Cloud-aware clipboard, OneDrive selective sync and offline folders, Windows Pick up where you left off, apart from a bunch of announcements for the developers.
As Forbes points out, these are already existing methods for signing in, except that in this latest change, Microsoft does not require users to setup a password first before choosing one of those options. We'll also get to know more about the next update for Windows 10, codenamed Redstone 5, at the event.
