The reason why Intel won't be patching the Spectre and meltdown exploits in specific Intel chips is that of three reasons which are as follows.

The chips also bears the all new Intel Core i5+, i7+ and i9+ badges that will go on to support Intel Optane memory tech, allowing you to use the low-cost Optane RAM so as to speed up the traditional hard drives for faster boot times, app launches and other such similar to the speed boost, that you get when you use the SSD instead of HDD.

The first thing to note here is that the processors in question are niche, older models, but this is still a potential fly in the ointment for some folks who are still using the silicon in question.

Code-named Kalamata, the initiative is in the beginning stages of development, but is part of a much larger plan to make all Apple's devices work uniformly together.

Intel reportedly receives around five per cent of its annual revenue from Apple.

Intel has announced the launch of its Core i9 processor for laptops at an event in Beijing, China. Currently, various products of Apple including iPhones, Apple TVs, iPads, and Apple Watches are installed with the parent company's core processors.

This means that Apple would be more agile and would be able to bring out more new products and new features in existing products, giving the company and even stronger competitive edge.

With the change in the hardware, if it happens, Apple will be making changes to the software also by making the suitable updates to make the devices operate seamlessly with the iOS operated devices as well. It was used for security purposes. The company is also planning to add this chip to new Mac laptops this year.

First introduced on desktops only, 8 Gen Intel Core i9 processor is the ultimate internal hardware required to power the laptop and give the highest level output.

A third point that the chip giant makes is that numerous computers running these processors are "closed systems" not connected to the outside world and so unlikely to be exposed to Meltdown and Spectre anyway. The biggest challenge that Apple will face will be to ensure that the speed and capability that Intel chips now give the Mac its current edge is not lost when the company moves to home-made chips.
