Scott Walker predicts a blue wave in the Badger State following a liberal judge's win in the state Supreme Court race Tuesday night.
Turnout topped 22 percent in the election for Wisconsin Supreme Court, the second highest since 2000 in a race that saw liberal candidate Rebecca Dallet defeat conservative Michael Screnock.
Dallet said via Twitter that she wanted to serve her state in a big way and show her daughters that "it's important to fight with everything we have". In a statement Tuesday night, Holder said, "Today, the voters of Wisconsin took a critical first step toward a state government that better reflects their needs and interests". Next, they'll target me and work to undo our bold reforms.
Democrats heralded Rebecca Dallet's victory as the clearest sign yet voters are back on their side after seven years of Republican control of the Wisconsin Statehouse and Donald Trump's 1-point victory in the state in 2016.
Dallet, a Milwaukee County judge, drew strong Democratic support including an endorsement from former Vice President Joe Biden.
He said Republicans can make that happen this year, and Democrats will have to show what they've done in Tuesday's election can be transferable to legislative and midterm races. "I think they're ready to have fair and independent courts".

But defense attorneys said those statements were coerced, and there was no audio or video tape of the interrogation. The dates of the money transfers were between March 16, 2016, and June 5, 2016, according to the email.

Pogba smashed in a superb free-kick shortly after half-time, while setting up Kylian Mbappe to open the scoring before the break. Mbappe, however, made sure of France's victory when he slalomed through the defence and beat Lunyov again with another low shot.

Gov. Scott Walker, who appointed Screnock to the Sauk County Circuit Court, also endorsed him. Her win narrows the pro-Walker conservative majority on the court to 4 to 3 - and marks the first win by a liberal to an open seat since 1995. 'I think people are exhausted of what's been going on in our state in terms of the money coming in to buy these elections and people spoke out tonight'. The court has been a reliable ally of Walker and Republicans who have controlled the governor's office and Legislature since 2011. I wish Judge Dallet well, and I sincerely hope she serves us well on the court. He issued a similar warning after a Democrat won a special state Senate election in January.
Dallet, 48, has been a Milwaukee County circuit judge since 2008 and previously worked 11 years as a prosecutor.
'People are pretty motivated on the left, from what I can see, ' said Doug Clawson, 58, a communications professional who cast his ballot at a Madison public library as cold rain fell outside.
While state Supreme Court justices are nonpartisan, the race was highly politicized, with candidates and supporters on both sides finding ways to turn it into a referendum on the opposing party.
As a private attorney, Screnock defended Walker's collective bargaining law and the Republican-drawn redistricting plan that is now before the U.S. Supreme Court.
