Nick Francis, director of Experiential Learning at Seven Hills School, said in a 911 call a security guard contacted him and told him to call 911 because they found a kid in his vehicle. The third row bench seat flipped backward, collapsed on him, and trapped him.
Cincinnati Police Chief Eliot Isaac talked about all through a data conference Thursday one factor "went terribly incorrect" in the middle of the second 911 title.
"Kyle joined the Seven Hills community in the sixth grade. Send officers immediately. I'm nearly dead". He indicated he didn't have much time to live.
The call ended. When officers checking out the scene attempted to call back, it went to voicemail.
Six hours after the first 911 call, Plush's father discovered his son in auto.
After Kyle's frantic call for help Tuesday afternoon, a dispatcher tried to call him back - but the teen, who was apparently trapped inside his vehicle, was not able to answer his phone. Responding police drove through the area looking for signs of anyone in distress but saw nothing out of the ordinary in the school complex, which has several parking areas. He loved sports and enjoyed being a part of the Seven Hills School's tennis team.
A police radio call shows that two officers were assigned to investigate the call seven minutes after the first call was made. After a almost three minute call, the line went dead. It's unclear whether he could reach his phone, but he could be heard screaming "Siri" repeatedly on the 911 calls.
Then another caller, who identified himself as a night shift worker at the school, called police to report that the teen, who was unresponsive, was trapped in the van - "turned over in his seat and stuck".

Plush called 911 again and got a different dispatcher. They arrived at the scene a few minutes later, but were unable to find the van. Chief Isaac said Smith did not pass along the information about the call but they're not sure what happened.
"Help, help, help. I'm stuck in my van outside the Seven Hills parking lot". "Where are you?" she said, over and over.
The school said it could not comment further, citing the ongoing investigation.
A passerby called police at 8:56 p.m., and dispatch requested police and ambulance minutes later.
A preliminary investigation reports both technical problems and human error may have played roles in first responders' failure to locate Kyle Plush Tuesday. "The force of that motion and the weight of the seat trapped Plush upside down, head in the rear well and legs in the air against the minivan's rear door".
Honda spokesman Chris Martin said Thursday there were no seat-related recalls associated with the 2004 Odyssey.
The operator who took the second 911 call is now on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, Chief Isaac said.
"Our hearts go out to the victim's family during this hard time", spokesman Chris Martin said. "Honda does not have any specific information from which to definitively determine what occurred in this incident".
