The Lahore High Court on Monday temporarily barred TV channels from airing alleged "anti-judiciary speeches" delivered by PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and other 14 PML-N leaders.

The spokesman further said Begum Kulsoom Nawaz is critically ill and admitted to a hospital since the past few days.

"My mother is hospitalised again".

"I know prayers can do wonders. Uncivilized restrictions can not be placed in the country".

The larger bench, headed by Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi, gave this verdict on petitions seeking initiation of contempt cases against former premier Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and other PML-N leaders for criticizing the judiciary.

Talking to media in Islamabad where he appeared before an Accountability Court for hearing of Avenfield Properties Reference, Nawaz Sharif said he could see anarchy in the Country, if the voice of the people remained unheard.

"We can not restrict someone from speaking", he had said, adding that he wanted everyone to go along together.

Lashing out at the Balochistan government, he said a government elected by the people had been toppled and an artificial structure was put in place. "We moved on did but not compromise".

Naqvi said that while Article 19 of the Constitution allowed fair criticism of the judiciary, not every person should be allowed to criticise the courts just for the sake of exercising the right, The Express Tribune reported.
