It will come as a surprise to absolutely no one that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is now official following the company's Unpacked event. For a limited time, AT&T customers can get a Samsung Galaxy Note 9, S9 or S9+ free when they buy.
An industry source said the new Note would be priced similarly to its predecessor Note 8, which sold at around $950.
Samsung has just launched the latest Galaxy Note smartphone. That marquee gadget failed to capture consumers' imagination or stop Huawei Technologies Co. and Xiaomi Corp. from grabbing market share at the Korean giant's expense. That's 1TB in a phone (even after the Note 9 has gobbled up 19GB of space just doing its own thing, right out of the box), which is larger than many laptops (as Samsung was keen to point out).
"The product was too similar to the S8". However, we're comfortable enough in saying this is a phone that will easily last you through a two-year contract. The Note 9 will get an update... eventually.
Samsung is counting on its latest device to lead the charge during the crucial holiday season and revitalise a mobile division where profits nearly halved last quarter.
Not using a Samsung device? Samsung has put Bluetooth into it so you can click the bottom like a standard pen and execute actions like taking a selfie, play or pause video or progress through a slideshow.

New UK foreign minister makes 'Japanese wife' gaffe in China
Chinese-Japanese relations have been mired in tensions since Japan's invasion of China before and during the Second World War. Mr Hunt is in China in a bid to strengthen trade ties with Beijing ahead of Britain's exit from the European Union next year.
That stance is easing with executives promising to introduce eye-opening features more aggressively. But the highlights will be a bigger battery, a faster processor and improved cellular speeds.
Would the Note 9 be a good match for your business?
However, don't let this bold fashion statement fool you - the Galaxy Watch is as sturdy as they make them, employing Corning's tough Gorilla Glass DX+ glass, which is designed specifically for smartwatches. It also has a relocated fingerprint scanner on the back but not one built into the screen, something the company has said it's developing.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will officially launch on Friday, August 24.
Within the Android user community, there is a specific niche for the Note series who wait up till this time of the year to change or upgrade their phone. Samsung also supplies the organic light-emitting diode screens that go into premium devices such as the iPhone X.
The larger 46mm version of the Galaxy Watch is also the variant that grants you the much-hyped new battery, with a 472mAh stack of cells loaded in to it, which is a marked increase from the 270mAh delivered by the 42mm. Even if the battery has no power it will still work as a regular S Pen for note taking, signing, drawing, screen-off memos and so on. In terms of exterior functionality, the Galaxy Watch features some side-mounted buttons, as well as a rotatable bezel that allows for the cycling through of apps and menus.
