In an interview Tuesday with The Associated Press, Manigault Newman, who is promoting her new book about her time in Trump's orbit, said she believes the president's campaign is trying to keep her from telling her story.
Of all the jabs Donald Trump has taken at his adversaries since entering the national political arena, it was the president's pronouncement of ex-aide Omarosa Manigault-Newman as a "dog" that most offended U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn. "Should you pursue litigation against S&S, we are confident that documents related to the contents of the Book in the possession of President Trump, his family members, his businesses, the Trump Campaign, and his administration will prove particularly relevant to our defense".
Manigault Newman then says, "Oh, God, no".

Lara Trump, married to Eric Trump, can be heard on the tape noting a New York Times report that suggested Manigault Newman had inside information that could be damaging to Trump. The network said that their producers listened to the tape in its entirety to verify the context of the conversation.
