The storm as of 10 a.m. Sunday remained off the coast of Belize, according to the National Hurricane Center. The current forecast cone from the hurricane center shows the storm may hit land somewhere between Mobile, Ala., and northwestern parts of Florida.

The depression is moving toward the north near 6 miles per hour (9 kph) with maximum sustained winds of 35 miles per hour (55 kph).
Through Monday morning, the storm is set to lash the eastern Yucatan Peninsula and western Cuba, which were under tropical storm warnings, with heavy rain and gusty winds.
