Intel has dropped hyper-threading on its lower-end, budget processor before, but this is a high-end processor meant for gamers and creatives. B&H Photo, for example, has the Core i9-9900K listed at $529.99, the Core i7-9700K at $399, and the Core i5-9600K at $279.99. The Core i9-9900K is the star of the show here, delivering 8C/16T, a 3.6/5.0GHz base/boost speed and up to 40 PCIE lanes all tied up in a 95W package. On the other hand, i5-9600K features 6-cores, 6-threads and clocked at 3.7GHz that can be boosted to 4.6GHz. This processor has base and boost speeds of 3.6GHz and 4.9GHz, with a 12MB cache.
Despite the launch of a new chipset in the form of Z390, these new 9th generation chipsets will maintain compatibility with all previous 300-series Intel chipsets, such as Z370 through updates that will be made available by motherboard manufacturers.
Stepping down the ladder, we find the Core i7-9700K. When it comes to video production, these new CPUs are up to 41% faster in Adobe Premiere compared to the previous generation. In dual-mode we have 4.8GHz, while 4-core mode hits 4.7GHz and 6/8-core mode it'll reach 4.6GHz. We don't know if this is a refresh of Skylake-X at the moment, but we are hoping to have that question answered soon. The chip carries a massive TDP of 255W so you'll need some pretty serious cooling to match.
Text from Manchester United board reassured Mourinho over sacking reports
Asked if it would be the right decision to sack Mourinho , he said after a long pause: "No". I don't think they are good enough".
Lindsay Graham Shines at Kavanaugh Hearing
If one more week guarantees at least 51 votes in the Senate, then perhaps this Federal Bureau of Investigation probe is necessary. On September 27, Smerconish posted on Twitter that "without calling Mark Judge", the hearing was simply "a kangaroo court".
Michael Kors reportedly buying Italy's Versace for $2 Billion
She closed the collection by walking the runway herself, arm-in-arm with 1990s models including Carla Bruni and Cindy Crawford. Versace had planned to float the company on the stock market but put the plans on hold owing to unfavourable conditions.
All these new processors come with hardware fixes for the Meltdown Variant 3 and L1 Terminal Fault issues. Intel's 9th Gen Core-X series and K-series also finally switch from TIM to Solder, which should help with thermals quite a bit. There's also a new Xeon chip, the Xeon W-3175X, for use in workstation PCs to support highly specialized hardware and software such as ECC memory.
Why it matters: Intel announced a smattering of new processors on Monday spanning multiple product segments.
Whether or not Intel's 9th-gen speedup matters to you depends on how recently you've upgraded your current PC.
