The Boston Bruins and Columbus Blue Jackets meet Thursday in game four of the National Hockey League second round playoffs at the Nationwide Arena. The 100-point dynamo has generated nine shots on goal through three games and helped the Bruins carry play while on the ice, but hasn't had a ton of quality scoring chances.
On Brandon Dubinsky's game-tying goal in Game 1, he and Riley Nash were able to get themselves to the front of the Bruins net easily. Artemi Panarin recorded the Blue Jackets' lone goal. However, Columbus came close to doing that taking a 2-1 lead in the third period.
Just a few minutes after the opening puck drop, Pastrnak scored the type of goal he had so desperately been seeking.
For the second time in this series, the biggest news is one player that is not being talked about. Columbus rookie Alexandre Texier was a healthy scratch for the first time in the playoffs. Boone Jenner got the puck and had a quasi-breakaway and was tripped up by Brad Marchand in the process, resulting in a penalty shot at 6:52. You could make an argument every one could have gone either way.
These are two examples of what the Bruins need to get back to on the power play, with DeBrusk driving the net for tips, and more stationary bodies in front of the net for tips and rebounds.
Boston made it 2-0 on Bergeron's snap shot from the slot at 7:18 of the first.
Too often the Bruins gave failed to get to the net and make things hard for Bobrovsky.

Trump threatens to send armed soldiers to US-Mexico border
In 2008, the US Border Patrol arrested seven Mexican soldiers after their armed HMMWV broke down inside the US (source). The White House said it was the most in a decade. "I don't think-it definitely wasn't trying to overtake the U.S".
Britain 'approves' Huawei role in 5G network
Some are criticizing allowing Huawei, which is based in China but privately-owned, into governmental infrastructure. Last month, Huawei launched a lawsuit against the USA government for banning its equipment from certain networks.
Blue Jackets Injuries: Markus Nutivaara: day to day (upper body).
The puck quite clearly hit the netting, but the officials didn't see it. Neither Charlie Coyle nor Charlie McAvoy made much of an attempt to clear them, or disrupt them from getting their sticks on the puck.
SCORELESS SECONDThere were no goals in the second period, but it wasn't due to a lack of action.
"The way the series has gone, every power play's been crucial both ways". The Boston Bruins are averaging 2.9 goals per game and are scoring on 30.8 percent of their power play opportunities. The Bruins worked the puck around for a moment until Backes from behind the net sent a puck up to Zdeno Chara at the point.
He then skated away like nothing happened. Carlo also believes Bobrovsky, helped out by at least two post shots Tuesday, can not keep this up if the Bruins continue to pressure.
These games in Columbus, with other factors now out the window, will allow the Bruins to take a stranglehold on the series.
