The event will be attended by General Assembly President Morgens Lykketoft, Under-secretary-General for Communications and Public Information Cristina Gallach and Isha Foundation founder and spiritual leader Jaggi Sadhguru, who will lead a simple Yoga practice. The event will include a musical incantation on yoga and British singer Tanya Wells will recite Sanskrit shlokas.

A contingent comprising 350 personnel from SSB, 225 each from BSF and CRPF, 100 from ITBP and 50 each from RPF and CISF will take part in the International Yoga Day event tomorrow.

Our Jalukbari correspondent adds: The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has been designated as the nodal force for participation of Central Armed Police Forces in the International Yoga Day function in Guwahati in coordination with the State administration. Ambassadors and diplomats from various countries will also share their own experiences of how Yoga has influenced their life styles.
