Westworld isn't like most theme parks, as it resembles real life, just in the old west.
These are just some of the complex issues presented by the series premiere of the HBO series. The show has been touted as "the next Game of Thrones" for HBO given its genre appeal and pricey budget, but this past Sunday those with access to the pay cable network were able to see if the series lived up to the hype.
In the first episode, Dr. Robert Ford, played by Anthony Hopkins, delivered this line: "This is as good as we're going to get".
The sci-fi western, which co-stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris and James Marsden, is set in world where humans can live out their fantasies in a world of robots. Only.764 million tuned in to watch the first episode of that series, which HBO cancelled after its first season. For now, we'll just enjoy this engrossing world that's been created for us. Not in terms of plot, characters, or the show's treatment; if the first episode of the show (Westworld) is anything to go by.
"Westworld" season 1 premiered on HBO on October 2 and with just one episode, the series shows a strong solid plot filled with mysteries.

There's also the manager of Westworld, played by Sisdse Babett Knudsen, who rules with an iron fist and isn't afraid of standing up to her male colleagues. Emotional reactions on Twitter were estimated to be 545 percent greater compared to the debut of "Vinyl" and 326 percent higher than the latest "The Leftovers" season.
"But otherwise, this is an impressive opening that ponders the qualities that make us human without bludgeoning us over the head with the differences between man and machine". However, it still doesn't come close to "Game of Thrones" season 6 premiere ratings which reportedly reached 23.3 million views.
The show, which reportedly cost the network an astonishing $100 million and faced multiple production delays, is based on the futuristic 1973 Michael Crichton movie. Though the pilot doesn't discuss delve into the entire mythos of the series, the film Westworld also features two other "worlds", Roman World and Medieval World.
"We're both huge fans of Game of Thrones and the programming that HBO has done over the years".
"But Westworld could at least assert itself as a rare kind of truly transporting television - what we might have once called must-see". There are so many layers to her that we will slowly start to uncover. Dazzling Nolan visuals and strong performances can smooth over a multitude of sins in the relatively brief running time of film, but what hope does a TV show-also subject to much more granular criticism-have of holding up over 50 or 60 hours?
