Brad Pitt's lawyers want a judge to seal records regarding his and Angelina Jolie's six minor children in their divorce and child custody case.
Ms. Jolie "appears to be determined to ignore even agreed upon standards relating to the children's best interest", complained Mr. Pitt in a December 21 memorandum attached to a previously filed request, People magazine reported Thursday. In a new filing obtained by Us Weekly, Pitt requests that divorce documents pertaining to their kids be sealed.
Additionally, said People, quoting the motion, Pitt believes Jolie has "no self-regulating mechanism" to prevent the release of such private information about sons Maddox, 15, and Pax, 13, daughters Zahara, 11, and Shiloh, 10, and brother-and-sister twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.
The 53-year-old actor, who just celebrated his birthday this past weekend, says that "the names of [the children's] therapists and other mental health professionals" have been published, which violates an agreement to protect the kids' privacy.
The memorandum was released after Pitt's original request for custody documents to be sealed was denied. "The document states, "[Jolie] appears to be determined to ignore even agreed upon standards relating to the children's best interest".

A court hearing is scheduled on the matter in January.
