The coaches going in are Danny Ford (Clemson from 1978-89 and Arkansas from 1993-97); Larry Kehres (Mountain Union from 1986-2012) and Steve Spurrier (Duke from 1987-89, Florida from 1990-2001 and SC from 2005-15).

Throughout his Tennessee career, he broke 42 NCAA, Southeastern Conference and school records, and won the Maxwell Award as the nation's most outstanding player, the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award, the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award in 1997, when his Volunteers squad on the SEC championship.

Ford coached Clemson from 1978-89 and posted a record of 96-29-4.

Spurrier is the winningest head coach in SC history as well as being the winningest head coach in Florida history.

Ford was just 30 years old when he took over as Clemson Head Coach in December of 1978. Manning also received the 1998 ESPY for Best College Football Player.

Spurrier is only the fourth person ever to be inducted as both a player and a coach, joining Amos Alonzo Stagg, Bobby Dodd, and Bowden Wyatt - none of whom played after World War II, or coached after the 1966 season in which Spurrier won the Heisman Trophy. He was 0-3 against Florida as a starter, and even though he was 6-1 against Tennessee's other two big rivals (Alabama, Georgia), the fact that the Vols couldn't get over the hump against Spurrier and the Gators was viewed by some as a blight on Manning's otherwise stellar career.

"It's an incredible honor to be selected to the College Football Hall of Fame", Gibson said in a released statement.
