Crosby on play that concussed him: Said Ovi slash was normal/trying to prevent a goal, and Niskanen things were just happening fast.

The Penguins topped the Capitals 3-2 in Game 4 without Crosby, and now hold a 3-1 series lead on their division rivals.

Crosby was on ice for the team's practice full-contact practice, wearing a regular jersey and skating with wingers Jake Guentzel and Patric Hornqvist.

Sid the Kid is not the type of player to miss a potential series-clinching game.

The two-time league MVP was diagnosed with a concussion earlier this week and his status for Saturday's playoff game against the Washington Capitals is not clear. Sullivan insisted the team is taking the same approach with Crosby.

Crosby regularly skated during his past concussion recoveries, most notably during the 68 games he missed in the 2011 calendar year.

Penguins star Crosby leaves game following hit to head
He was kicked out of the game for the hit as he should have been, but should the league office really take it to this guy. At that point in the series, Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby had, as usual, been the Capitals kryptonite.

Garrett 1st to Browns, Bears trade up for QB Trubisky
He is a guy that has all the tools to be a solid National Football League quarterback, but he will certainly need time to develop. The Browns needed a quarterback, and by holding the No. 12 pick they could have tried to move back up to select him.

While Crosby appreciates the concern about his condition given his concussion history, he stressed he's not rushing back.

Crosby, widely recognized as the best hockey player in the world, will provide a big lift as soon as he's back in the lineup.

"I think having gone through this I'd like to think I'm pretty aware of my body at this point", he said.

With Marc-Andre Fleury playing so well, Murray can take his time getting back.

"The other play (with Niskanen) is hard to say. I trust the process you have to go through, and whenever it's time I'll be ready".
