However, it looks like things are about to change.

The Grammy winner's break from the public eye, including Friday's social media wipeout, might also be a part of her plan.

The "Shake It Off" singer, 27, removed all of her Instagram and Tumblr posts, as well as her profile pictures on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

Now, Taylor Swift has completely wiped her social media clean of any posts from the past, worrying her fans beyond measure.

For one, more time has passed since the release of 2014's "1989" than any of her previous albums (each of which had a two-year gap).

Over on Twitter, her avatar had disappeared.

"Is this the new era coming or has she been hacked?"

Swift and her team have been incredibly tight-lipped about any upcoming releases, though tourmate and pal Ed Sheeran hinted that Swift should be dropping a new album before the end of this year. This move that she pulled sparked speculations that the star may have some new music in store for us and it might be out sooner than expected. This is the third-year anniversary of when she announced that megahit, which was her first official pop album.

All of this comes days after federal jurors in Denver found a former radio host, David Mueller, assaulted and battered Swift during a meet-and-greet in 2013.

There's been no further comment from Swift or her representatives.
