The grille is now wider and the headlights have been pushed to the either corner to make the SUV look wider.
The new version of the compact SUV will be showcased at the 2017 Frankfurt Show. While the Dacia Duster has been revealed, when this auto comes to India, it will be badged a Renault. The alterations to the fascia are punctuated with a larger, satin-chrome-finish skid plate, which Dacia claims is scratch-resistant.
The belt line on the side is higher, while the windscreen is more rakish, in fact 100mm more rakish, than the current Duster. The auto also has a higher belt line - where the side panels meet the side windows, to give an impression of more strength, while aluminium roof bars are also fitted.
Details for now are a little scarce, but the Renault budget sub-brand is boasting about the fettled (but still rugged) design, and greater levels of cabin equipment and higher-end materials. Horizontal lines and lights positioned at the extreme corners heighten the car's solid stance. The aim of the designers was to give the vehicle a more robust look, so there are more pronounced folds in the metal on the bonnet, and extra black trim along the sides of the auto and behind the front wheels.

At the back, Dacia's rear lighting signature - four red stacked squares - has been adapted for new Duster. The prominent silver skid plates on the front and rear of the auto are said to be scratch resistant too.
In Europe, Dacia posted a first-half sales record with 245,453 vehicle registrations, up 9.3% on the year and equivalent to a 2.6% market share. The new model is likely to make its way to India next year.
The new Dacia Duster isn't expected to go on sale in the United Kingdom until summer 2018.
Under the bonnet stays the same with updated versions of the 1.5 litre diesel and 1.2 litre petrol as well as two and four-wheel drive versions.
