5 criminals arrested after brief encounter in Delhi

The Punjab Police today received a tip-off about the presence of notorious criminal Deepak alias Tinu alias Ravi in the house.

At least five criminals were arrested by Delhi and Punjab police in a shootout at Dwarka Mor Metro Pillar 768 on Tuesday morning.

The Delhi Police along with Punjab cops arrested five dreaded criminals after a brief encounter took place near Dwarka Metro station on Tuesday.

No one was injured in the firing even though the shootout happened in a residential area, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) - southwest Shibesh Singh. "Some people inside the building were also firing shots", said Umesh, who identified himself only with his first name.
