Starting linebacker Natrez Patrick was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana less than one ounce, according to Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith. Additionally, Patrick was arrested on misdemeanor marijuana charges as a freshman in 2015, which led to a one-game suspension.

The former Mays standout was suspended four games as a second offender following an early October arrest for two misdemeanor charges involving possession of less than once ounce of marijuana and parking in a prohibited area.

According to Barrow County inmate records, Patrick was arrested at approximately 11:50 p.m. Saturday and booked at 1:30 a.m. Sunday. His bond was set for $1,030. He paid a "small fine" and was released from custody, the station reported.

Patrick has started seven games this season, including the SEC championship win over Auburn on Saturday when the junior from Mays High in Atlanta had three tackles and a quarterback hurry.

This is Patrick's third arrest. Barrow County is adjacent to Clarke County, where the University of Georgia is located. Patrick, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and has since been released after paying a fine. He had three tackles in the game.
