Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez has insisted his side are giving everything they've got to turn around their fortunes after a narrow 1-0 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday saw them drop into the relegation zone.
Arsenal sit seventh in the Premier League and are desperate to club up the table and into the Champions League spots.
"Still, though, we stayed in the game, and when you are working as hard as we were working, that means that this team's still fighting".
"We did well in defence against a team with pace and quality". We have to talk.
"They want to give a very clear message that they care and they want to do things right".
In the Premier League, The Saints have conceded 24 goals this season, while West Ham and Newcastle have allowed 32 and 27, respectively.
