According to EuroGamer's sources, this year's Call of Duty will be Black Ops 4. The only difference is that it will take place in the modern era and will have the soldiers fighting on the ground only.

And if that was not enough, Sellars also said that the Switch version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 would have unique features, such as HD Rumble and motion controls.

Industry experts believe that Activision has tapped the services of Treyarch Studios to develop Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

It hasn't been confirmed as yet when the 2018 addition to the Call of Duty franchise is going to be.

We still don't know when an announcement will arrive, but we might know what the announcement will be.
