The physicist, who died Wednesday at age 76, wasn't expected to see his 25th birthday, after being diagnosed with the incurable neurodegenerative condition ALS at age 21.
Stephen Hawking was many things-the most celebrated theoretical physicist of our time, a scholar who occupied the same seat at Cambridge as Isaac Newton, an explorer of cosmic concepts beyond most people's grasp.
In a world where the norms of human behavior and our definitions for the best and brightest are steadily degrading, as evidenced by the quality of world leaders as well as role models of the youth, losing someone whose life was truly an inspiration can be devastating.
"He was a great scientist and an extraordinary man whose work and legacy will live on for many years".
Renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson said in a tweet that the passing of Hawking will leave "an intellectual vacuum".
Benamran, however, said his gift for explaining the most complex concepts was the key to his stardom.
Struggling Southampton fires manager Mauricio Pellegrino
Slaven Bilic and Marco Silva , two other recently fired Premier League managers, are not thought to be in the running. Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier believes Mauricio Pellegrino was sacked because of his negative style of football.

Watford almost hit back four minutes later but Petr Cech produced a good save to deny Abdoulaye Doucoure from just inside the box. Mkhitaryan bagged his second goal in successive matches with a low strike that crept under Karnezis in the 77th minute.

But the visitors dug in and got the first points on the board when Laidlaw stroked over a routine penalty in the 13th minute. Scotland captain John Barclay conceded a penalty in his half but Sexton, again, kicked for touch rather than the posts.
Hawking himself believed that it was his sense of humour and his commitment to his work that had helped him survive ALS, as he had revealed during an interview with The Washington Post in 2016.
Hawking also recognised the enormous potential of the universe to be teeming with life and the advances in technology that might permit its detection in the near future.
Working with Roger Penrose, the two showed that the Big Bang could have had its beginnings from a singularity - a one-dimensional point where space and time breaks down and density and gravity become infinite - a point that is theorised to exist deep within a black hole. "It is a complete understanding of the universe, why it is as it is and why it exists at all". He may not have been the greatest physicist of all time and did not get the Nobel Prize.
The British actor played the mathematical genius across decades of physical degeneration - all under Hawking's watchful gaze. It's no wonder why he would be a recurring guest on The Big Bang Theory, and it's no secret that he could make even a fictional genius like Sheldon look like a novice. His research has benefitted many scientists while exploring the other planets of the system and the Universe.
In 1974, Hawking that black holes explode and disappear, releasing radiation and particles.
The Royal Albert Hall said the "genius" Prof Hawking was the second physicist, after Albert Einstein in 1933, to ever sell out the venue with his lecture in 1995.
A spokesman for Sweden's Royal Academy of Sciences that hands out the Nobel Prizes in physics says Stephen Hawking "was a great scientist who made considerable contributions to science".
