In Japan, the top eight players of the Pre-Launch Tournament will be invited for the "Mario Tennis Aces" Top Players Tournament on June 24 at the Summer Jisedai World Hobby Fair 2018, according to Nintendo Life. Along with the announcement of the dates of the tournament, Nintendo released 2 new videos of its tennis game that you can check out below. Nintendo announced today that the prelaunch demo event will run from June 1 through June 3, and during that time players can try out the game almost a month ahead of time to play a special online tournament version of the game. Before its launch, there will be an online demo tournament, which will act basically as an open beta. Nintendo won't say who those characters are yet, but we have a pretty good idea. Another short clip highlighted the game's single-player Adventure Mode. Players will be able to compete against other people online.

As you win online matches and earn points, you'll unlock an additional five characters, as well.

Those that download and try the demo out will be awarded Mario's "classic outfit" upon purchase of the full game. These include a tennis match against Boo where two floating mirrors shoot the ball back at you, and a course where Mario needs to hit multiple Shy Guys littered across the court.
