Past anthems have included Pitbull's "We Are One (Ole Ola)", "Waka Waka", and Ricky Martin's "The Cup Of Life".
According to reports in Billboard and other publications, the track is to be released on 25 May, and is being produced by Diplo, the USA producer behind hits with his group Major Lazer including Lean On and Cold Water.
Will Smith and Nicky Jam, alongside Kosovo singer Era Istrefi, will perform the official 2018 FIFA World Cup song, Billboard reports.
Naturally, with Smith having a track record of absolute bangers such as "Miami", "Nod Your Head", "Summertime", "Getting Jiggy With It", "Men In Black" and "Switch" to name just a few, it's got fans excited.
Tradition dictates that the track will be performed at either the World Cup opening ceremony, which will be on June 14 before Russian Federation and Saudi Arabia kick off the tournament at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium, or at the closing ceremony ahead of the final at the same venue on July 15. Nelson told Vibe that they would be performing it in Russian Federation.
