Before police released the photos of the suspects, Toronto Sun columnist Joe Warmington wrote on Twitter, citing a witness, that two men were seen entering the restaurant seconds before the explosion.

Emergency crews responded to the area of Hurontario Street and Eglinton Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. after an Improvised Explosive Device was detonated inside the Bombay Bhel, an Indian restaurant in the neighbourhood. While three were taken to hospital with serious injuries, 12 others suffered minor injuries from the blast. The explosion caused "a considerable amount of damage", Evans said, adding there were two private parties at the restaurant at the time, with children under 10 in attendance.

There's no indication it's a terrorist act or hate crime, said Evans.

Jennifer Evans of Peel Region police said the investigation into Thursday's explosion at the Bombay Bhel Restaurant in Mississauga, still in its early stages, but said the incident is not now believed to be either a hate crime or an act of terrorism. The first is a male, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, "stocky build, mid-20s, light skin, wearing dark blue jeans, dark zip up hoodie pulled over head, baseball cap with light grey peak, face covered with black cloth material".

The pair, who was also wearing jeans and face coverings, did not say anything, just dropped off the device and left, authorities said earlier.
