Last season Barça won a LaLiga and the Copa del Rey double.

Federation Internationale de Football Association said it would name a final list of three nominees in early September, with the awards ceremony set to take place in London on 24 September. The 30-year-old showed an exceptional work rate for which he received praise from coaches from the club and the national team.
