The questions have been looming since Bill Cosby was convicted in April of three counts of assault: Will he go to prison, and, if so, for how long?

The sentences could be served concurrently by Mr. Cosby, who has said he is legally blind.

Prosecutors are expected to seek a lengthy sentence, citing the nature of Cosby's crime as well as his alleged history of misconduct.

At Cosby's trial, five women besides Constand testified that he had assaulted them. "The judge is going to get less flak if they see Bill Cosby walk out in cuffs".

Trump suggested Spain build African Sahara wall to stop migrants, minister says
It would be similar to Trump's planned wall across the US-Mexico border to stop illegal immigration. A wall across the Sahara would probably also involve building through several sovereign nations.

Power outages near 800000 as Florence rocks the Carolina coast
Surges of 10 feet had been reported early Friday Morehead City and elsewhere in North Carolina, the National Weather Service said. Florence was one of two major storms on Friday. "I about jumped out of my skin", he said in a phone interview Friday morning.

On Saturday, TMZ reported that authorities close to the case have expressed that such an arrangement won't cut it for those invested in seeing Cosby brought to justice and that Constand's team "will push for the disgraced comedian/felon to be immediately hauled off to prison once the judge sentences him Monday AM". Therefore, prosecutors will reportedly ask that Cosby be taken straight from court to prison.

The decision is ultimately up to Judge Steven T. O'Neill, who oversaw Cosby's 2018 retrial, as well as his mistrial a year earlier that ended in a hung jury. The hearings will also determine whether Cosby is designated a sexually violent predator. He remained a Hollywood A-lister for much of the next half-century, hitting his peak in the 1980s with the top-rated "Cosby Show" as the warm, wisecracking dad, Dr. Cliff Huxtable. But Deborah Tuerkheimer, a law professor at Northwestern University and an expert on sexual assault cases, said Cosby's case, as well as the election of U.S. President Donald Trump in 2016, helped "seed the ground" for the coming wave.

"I really think it's important that he spend some time behind bars", said Lublin, who said Cosby assaulted her when she was 23 in 1989.

At issue was a "nasty" personal conflict involving a prior district attorney, Bruce Castor, Cosby's team argued. That means Cosby could be sentenced to probation, or to continued house arrest. The nonprofit's hotline has received a record number of calls in the a year ago, with many survivors citing the Cosby case and others as inspiration.
