The 78-year-old civil rights legend was spotted dancing to "Happy" by Pharrell Williams at a campaign event Thursday for Stacey Abrams, the Democratic candidate for Georgia governor.

"I'd like to remind Stacey and Oprah and Will Ferrell, I'm kind of a big deal, too", Pence said, in an apparent reference to a line from Ferrell's hit 2004 film, "Anchorman".

Asked whether she is planning on voting for Abrams, the woman said yes - and that she has an early voting plan.

Some have even started calling Atlanta "The Hollywood of the South" and "Y'allywood".

"For anybody here who has an ancestor who didn't have the right to vote and you are choosing not to vote wherever you are in this state, in this country, you are dishonoring your family", Winfrey said on Thursday, according to HuffPo.

Secretary of State Brian Kemp, Georgia's top elections official and the Republican nominee for governor, issued a statement saying advocates filing a last-minute lawsuit had forced the state 'to waste time and taxpayer dollars for the judge to tell us to do something that we already do'.

U.S. Vice-President Mike Pence speaks to support Brian Kemp at a rally in Georgia. "I paid for myself and I approve this message".

"I was sitting at home in California, minding my own business, but I could not stop hearing about what's going on down here", Winfrey said, charming the crowd that had gathered to see her.

As a black woman, Winfrey noted her kinship to two groups historically denied ballot access in the United States. But after her speech, in a sit-down interview with Abrams - reminiscent of the 25-year television run of her daytime television show - she noted they were "just two women from MS".

"Remember, if blacks are going to have an authentic representation, wouldn't they then being to denounce the very party that she's asking them to vote for?"

She praised Abrams as a leader who "will serve the underserved of the state of Georgia".

Shortly after her speech, Winfrey posted videos on Instagram of herself going door to door canvassing for Abrams.

"I am honoured to have Oprah join me for uplifting and honest conversations with voters about the clear choice before us in this election and the boundless potential of Georgians".
