Windows hasn't had a lot of press in a while, and there's a good reason why: ever since Microsoft stopped making phones and concentrated on everything else, Windows Mobile has been left to die.

Back in October 2017, Microsoft had announced it would no longer roll out new features for Windows 10 Mobile.

Microsoft ended support for Windows Phone 8.1 on July 11, 2017.

Support may end earlier than that for certain handsets running Windows 10 Mobile.

Backup of some applications and settings of such mobiles will proceed till 10th of March, 2020 i.e. 3 months, after the removal of the provision by Microsoft till December.

But as of now, it is clear that Windows 10 Mobile as a platform is dead. 'You should be able to use it on Google Assistant, ' he said during the media event. Both Android and iOS users can now use Office Suite seamlessly on their devices. Later, Microsoft took over and continued the production of the Lumia from Nokia. Nadella has now indicated that Cortana's focus is all about Microsoft 365 (which is all-encompassing package that includes Office 365, Windows 10 and Enterprise Mobility + Security).
