Officials with the Mosaic-New Wales plant on Country Road 640 in Mulberry said the water is safe to drink. The company has said it noticed a decline in water levels on August 27, and notified authorities. As of this afternoon, 69 well water tests have been scheduled through ECT, according to Mosaic's website. Technically, the plant is outside of Mulberry city limits but people there are anxious about their drinking water too, so the city is testing more often.
