A new report highlights Apple's big plans to roll out a Digital Health initiative, seeking to make users more mindful of how often they use their phone. One of the tools is created to help users monitor how much time they spend on their devices and inside of certain applications. As noted in January, the company made a decision to hold back on larger updates to its operating systems this year to focus on bug fixes and performance improvements, resulting in a fairly tame-sounding slate of WWDC announcements. There's a good chance all these rumors and leaks are completely inaccurate, of course - but if there's an ounce of truth in them, iPhone SE 2 will be incredibly exciting. "As part of new software called "ARKit 2.0" internally, the company has been planning a new mode that would let users play AR games against each other in the same virtual environment", mentioned Bloomberg. Put simply, iOS 12 might be interesting, but iOS 13 is where the excitement really lies. But a report from the Information (paywall) suggests that Apple will loosen its restrictions on the NFC chips in its phones (which are now pretty much only used for Apple Pay), and developers will soon be able to use them for other functions, such as unlocking doors or cars.
The Apple Pay Cash system may be seeing launches in new territories, including the United Kingdom, based on glitches found in January which allowed United Kingdom iPhone users to partially set up the feature.

Catholic Ireland votes to legalise abortions in historic referendum
Several people refuse to talk about their vote at all - who are you to ask me about it? - heard in the click of the door closing. At Dublin Airport, waves of women arrived - many of them wearing "repeal" T-shirts and with "yes!" stickers on their luggage.
"For information on the security content of Apple software update please visit this website". Apple just gave its HomePod smart speaker new features, including calendar reminders - something Google and Amazon devices have long offered.
It's nearly a certainty that Apple will provide updates on new software at WWDC. However, he did say that a surprise announcement isn't entirely out of the question. And HomeKit was effectively a no-show at the WWDC keynote in 2017, although there was one session for developers specific to HomeKit changes such as event triggers, recurrence and a few other new framework options. A redesigned iPad Pro dubbed as iPad Pro 3 with Face ID is also said to be included in the release alongside the new MacBook Pro 2018 and MacBook Air 2018. However, these won't be ready until later this year. Apple didn't mention before this before it was kinda hidden lowkey feature, now stereo pairing is enabled in the latest version of iOS 11.4.
We've already had Google's annual dev conference, Google I/O, so now it's Apple's turn with its annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC). Nor is the Apple Watch Series 4, which is predicted to arrive in the fall retaining prior models' sizes, shapes, and band compatibility while increasing screen real estate.
